    Good advice! Thanks!

Nice videos and nice family! I’ve been a Vita-Mix user for about 20 years now and love it. In fact, if I had a car, I’d probably apply to be a demonstrator myself.
A suggestion: break your eggs, one at a time, into a glass before adding to other ingredients; you just might get a bad one.

  3. lolzm4ster Says:

    Ok, thanks I’ll try again…

Ice Cream making can take some practice. You should not make more than what will reach the 4 cup line in any one batch.

You have to work with the proportion of frozen to liquid ingredients. This varies from recipe to recipe depending on the density of the frozen item - i.e. ice being more densely frozen than say a frozen blueberry.

I start with roughly an 80/20 mix of frozen to liquid ingredients.

    Hello,

It is a patented tamper. It is designed with a wide ring at the top that is bigger than the hole in the lid which allows the tamper to enter the container but never reach the blades (when the lid is properly attached!).

With this tamper, I can push whole apples (stem, core and all) down into the blades and make apple sauce in seconds.

    Recipe:
    2 apples
    Honey to taste
    dash of cinnamon
    blend on high!

Hello oh high and mighty Vita-mix lady,
I have one question, just one…
Why does my ice cream come out all melted???? T.T
(Luckily I did not attempt to turn it upside down)

  7. chubbatheBOSS Says:

I don’t get it.. how did that stick that you used to push the ingredients down not get pulverized into black plastic mush if the machine is so powerful? What does closing the lid down properly have to do with the stick not getting into the blades?

  8. mizzjanky Says:

    Thats child abuse.

  9. agapemom Says:

    Thank you!

It’s funny that you should use the term “Stealth Health” because that is what I call it in my demonstrations!

Feel free to contact me to order your machine!

Excellent video, compelling me to decide on a vitamix, which appears to be extremely versatille, a creative’s dream. I also love the idea of green ice cream - such a stealth-health goody.

  11. babyheru Says:

I saw you at Costco’s in Royal Palm Beach. I was the guy who found his old vitamix machine and have been re inspired to work with the machine. I got your card and wanted to find out some recipes from you. Also I wanted to find out where you would be doing another local show because i wanted to buy some new containers?

  12. agapemom Says:

I think so. I like the fact that it has a 7 year warranty from a company that has been in business for over 80 years, I like the manual (vs. computerized) controls, and I like the tamper.

  13. norxcontacts Says:

    Is VitaMix better than Blendtec?

  14. rashb Says:

Hey Julia Roberts. I gave you a little shout on my green juice video. It was featured on the “how to” page a few days ago. It’s making it with a crappy blender, but I said on there I would buy a good one from you. However when I say your screen name it sounds shaky cause I wasn’t sure how to pronounce it.

Unfortunately while this was featured it didn’t occur to me, to link you until now. If I get that much attention again for a health video I will link you.

  15. ImNotRacistImBias Says:

I don’t understand why you would add a raw egg to this ice cream.
    —- quote: kingvin

Ice creams sold in stores contain eggs, also

  16. agapemom Says:

Why from me of course :-)

  17. agapemom Says:

Why from me of course :-)

  18. agapemom Says:

    I wouldn’t be without mine!

In my Vita-Mix demonstrations I like to say that a regular blender is like a Weed Eater and a Vita-Mix is like a tractor, you can mow a field with a weed eater, but it won’t do a very good job and eventually it is going to break.

    Blender = roughly 10,000 RPMs
    Vita-Mix = 37,000 RPMs
    Blender = .25 or .5 horsepower
A/C units and Lawn Sprinkler Systems = 1.5 HP
    Vita-Mix = 2.1 HP

  19. agapemom Says:

The raw egg is for extra protein. See Dr. Mercola’s website for information on consuming raw eggs.

Welches for sweetness (gotta get the kids to actually eat this stuff!). I agree that it is not as healthy as say Stevia as a sweetener for instance, but it does contain the greens and it’s a far sight better than commercial ice cream!

It’s all a matter of balance!

  20. hydramn Says:

wheres best place in getting bargain vita mix?

  21. shanihib Says:

A Vitamix is more powerful so that it can actually process this much frozen fruit at a time, plus because it does it so quickly, it doesn’t melt the fruit turning it to a milkshake. It comes out kind of like soft serve ice cream. I doubt it retains more nutrients (but maybe because less heat gets to the produce.) It does break down the fruits and veggies into smaller particles than a regular blender so that the vitamins and minerals are more available to your system.

  22. butterflypal Says:

so do u absolutly need the vita mix blender

  23. kingvin74 Says:

I don’t think this is very healthy at all. I don’t understand why you would add a raw egg to this ice cream.. also, why use welsh’s frozen juice, just use fruit that you freeze yourself.

  24. asimp333 Says:

looks surprisingly good! im looking into getting a vita-mix myself to try out making green smoothies, and now ICE CREAM!!!

where do you recommend getting the vita-mix from?

  25. steviebboy69 Says:

nice machine, i have a vita-mix maxi-4000. i imported it from the USA direct from vitamix. its the 240 volt model as thats our country’s ,mains power. it has worked well for years. there are so many new models now. when i got it there was no importer then of any of these.
